Real Madrid keen on Barcelona starlet
Catalan daily that Real Madrid plan a summer swoop for Barcelona hotshot Gerard Deulofeu.
Deulofeu, 18, is widely regarded as the best player to have come out from La Masia since Leo Messi and has already been subject of bids from Manchester City and Espanyol.
Sport has suggested that Real Madrid are closely monitoring the talented forward and that los Blancos will attempt to lure the player to Santiago Bernabeu.
With the presidential elections set to be held later this year, Florentino Perez hopes to cement his position at Santiago Bernabeu by snatching one of Barcelona’s hottest prospects.
Deulofeu has a contract until June 2014 at Camp Nou and is set to be offered a new deal by the Catalans.
Despite showing a lot of promise in club’s B squad, he has been unable to break into the first team set-up, making just one La Liga appearance up to date.
Given the fierce competition for places at Camp Nou, the player who scored 13 goals in 22 Segunda matches this season might be prepared to hear what Real Madrid have to offer.

Jeremy Menez wants PSG exit
Paris Saint-Germain winger Jeremy Menez is considering his options at Parc des Princes, according to Le Parisien.
The Frenchman reportedly clashed with Carlo Ancelotti and Leonardo following the Champions League victory over Valencia, voicing his concern at the lack of playing time.
As a result, he is likely to be left out of the squad to face Sochaux at the weekend, which could push the player further towards the exit door.
Menez has mostly been restricted to substitute appearances since Lucas Moura arrived at the club and Javier Pastore rediscovered his form, and he is now hoping to leave the club at the end of the season.
Given that the France international’s contract is due to expire in June 2014, he could be available at a cut-back fee in the summer transfer window.
Menez largely impressed in his first season at the club, scoring 7 goals and producing 16 assists in 33 Ligue 1 matches, but he recently lost his place in the side despite producing some decent showings in the first part of the campaign.
