Real and Barcelona to enter Sancho race

Real Madrid and Barcelona are both set to enter the race to sign Jadon Sancho from Borussia Dortmund, according to SportBild.

The in-demand winger has set the football world alight with his lightning pace, skill on the ball and eye for a final pass, and he has understandably been on the radar of a number of top clubs across Europe since his move from Manchester City to the Signal Iduna Park in 2017 propelled his career upwards. He was strongly tipped to join Manchester United this summer, while Liverpool and Chelsea are also believed to be monitoring his situation closely.

Meanwhile, Real and Barcelona have the habit of targeting practically every top talent, and should they really make their move for Sancho, it would significantly decrease the chances of all three English clubs to lay their hands on the coveted youngster. However, with the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic set to affect even the budgets of the Spanish giants, it remains to be seen whether this story is merely an attempt from Dortmund themselves to boost the price of the 20-year-old attacker.
